starting a subway life

so i am in ny. got too excited about with my life. and kind of forgot to keep up with myself. oops (but not surprised). i finally respect graham for keeping up with his fat... i mean, his life story so consistently.

so my first day of job was the day after long drive from raleigh to here. thank you to sam, he drove all the way here by himself without falling asleep. compare to him, my job was nothing. i kept passing him bunch of snacks into his mouth (he's fat too) to keep him pumping and pretend like i was navigating by staring at the map. but i dont think i accomplished the second part that much anyways because i was keep falling asleep by looking at amazing green patterns created by trees on I-95. well, at least i had my sunglasses on. i don't think sam noticed.

the place i work is my new lover. it was my dream job and it was the very first place i applied right after i graduated from the red wolf university. i didn't hear back from them forever until the day before i was moving to ny for other design job. they asked me if i can start working on wednesday and my response was... o.m.f.g.h.e.l.l.y.e.a.!

studio is lovely. i got my own desk that came with my own phone (jingles!) and friday is a free bagel/muffin day for whole studio. yummster! there are about 30 people working there and building itself is three stories high. i've learned so much stuff in this past three days and i realized how much i didn't know about photoshop. oh design school... you are such a joker.

anyways, when i went to work on friday morning, i saw an amazingly long line in front of studio with bunch of gals with really thick layered make-ups and super annoyingly dressed guys. some were dancing to themselves, some were filming themselves/shouting, and most of them were eating mcdonalds' breakfast combo. i mean... something was definitely going on. so i looked around and i saw a flyers saying "making the band 4." apparently, my studio is next to this really big recording studio and these people who were creating this everlasting line was future talented musicians for mtv.com. oh, damn it. if i knew, i would have worn the biggest t-shirt i have and asked them to sign it. oh well, i guess i'll keep that in mind for the "making the band 5."

here is the picture of centipedes that left enormous fast food trashes behind on the street at the end of the day.

... and name donnie is so unattractive.

"oh design school... you are such a joker."

this is pretty much the story of my 7 week old professional life.

i am learning illustrator and indesign tricks left and right!

"Oh, you don't know how to do that?" = phrase that is most commonly spoken to me.

i'm so glad you ended up at IF!
